A beautiful city for Oregon romantic getaways is Ashland, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.  I went there once as a young teenager with a traveling theater group (played one of the fairies in Midsummer Night’s Dream–the highlight of my theater career!), but would love to return now as a young adult.  Of course this is an ideal city for theater and literature lovers–you cannot take two steps without running into some Shakespearean pun or reference.  One of my favorite examples was this sign on a restaurant: “Lord what food these morsels be!”  Read the rest of this entry »
